A George III mahogany longcase clock, late 18th century, the broken scroll pediment above a verre eglomise panel and arched glazed door enclosing a 13" brass dial with silvered chapter ring and Roman numerals, matted centre, subsidiary seconds dial and marked 'Richard Pugh, Newtown' in the arch, pierced cherub mask and dolphin spandrels, eight-day movement striking on a bell, flanked by later fluted pilasters over a full length shaped top trunk door between quarter pilasters, ogive moulding and raised panel baseboard and on later ogee bracket feet, restorations throughout, 94" high
