Das Zusammenspiel von Farbnuancen, aber auch von unterschiedlichem Farbauftrag charakterisieren dieses Bild und ziehen den Betrachter in seinen Bann. Massive und kompakte Farbfelder überlagern dünn aufgetragene, fast durchscheinende, lasierende Schichten. Man kann Motorik, Bewegung und Gestik des Malvorgangs nachempfinden. Wie so oft in Martha Jungwirths Arbeiten wird die Bildfläche sparsam ausgefüllt. Nur etwa die Hälfte des von ihr gerne verwendeten, handgeschöpften Büttenpapiers trägt die intensive Farbkomposition, mittels der die Künstlerin souverän Eindrücke und Inspiration von erlebter Wirklichkeit, wie zum Beispiel auf Reisen, in ihre subjektive Wahrnehmung übersetzt.(Clarissa Mayer-Heinisch)
