A late 18th century treen snuff box in the form of a heeled shoe dated 1795 to inset horn plaque inscribed with April 2nd to the opposite side, the top with a rudimentary compass within a circle above initials and verse 'When this you see Remember me' metal 'buckle' clasp, the sole of the shoe realistically carved and decorated with inlay circle and brass pin decoration and brass top piece to heel, length 12.5cm. Condition report, old repair to hole on side related cracks, nice patina throughout, small chips to lid.
