Bellamy on his being Elected Church Warden 24th April, 1835" and "Presented to H.T. Woods by Mr Bellamy and given to Julian Woods in remembrance of her Grandfather", 2.75ins x 1.875ins x .625ins high, weight 1.79ozsPlease note - the name on the inscription should read "OVENDEN", not "OVEYDEY". One inscription is engraved around the lid, the other around the side. Light surface scratches commensurate with age. Three small dents to underside.
A Russian Silver and Niello Rectangular Snuff Box, stamped 84 standard and with other marks, the lid decorated with equestrian statue of St. Peter the Great in St. Petersburg, and war trophies to the base, within floral and leaf borders, 3.5ins x 2.5ins x .75ins high, weight 3.6ozsThe box is silver and silver gilt. The textured backgrounds are gilded and a bit rubbed. Rubbed patches around the musical trophies Internally there are two marks to the lid -one being the 84 standard mark, and three marks to the base - two rubbed/partially struck. Small dent to front edge of lid, and to side of right back corner.
