Registration – WPG 924MChassis No. – 90109419AM.O.T. – ExemptOdometer – 20,000‘WPG 924M’ is a fine exemplar of the ultimate iteration of the Series Land Rover in Series III guise. ‘WPG 924M’ is an 88” model powered by the erstwhile 2.25-litre petrol engine and featuring the station wagon body configuration. ‘WPG 924M’ has had ten owners to date, which is significantly below average for its age, and is thought to have covered around 120,000 miles – a mere trifle in Series III terms. The vendor reports ‘WPG 924M’ as “starting and driving really well.” ‘WPG 924M’ is now MOT exempt and zero rated for road tax, comes with many spare parts, and a reasonable level of accompanying paperwork. An excellent opportunity to acquire a nicely presented Series III ready for duty on or off road.‘WPG 924M’ presents in that classic Series combination of Marine Blue and Limestone. The Birmabright, alloy body panels are reasonably straight and true in Land Rover terms with the usual rivet divots and minor dents noted. The front bumper is galvanised and is fitted with a tow hitch. The spare wheel and brand new tyre are bonnet mounted, giving ‘WPG 924M’ full farm ready credentials. The cab features new, black vinyl seats in the correct, three abreast configuration. Gauges, steering wheel and dash panels are all noted as original which is an increasingly rare case with Series Land Rovers. The rear cabin is full of parts currently. These are known to include Exmoor door cards, spare doors, spare lock barrels and other useful items. A new floor has been fitted here. Bodywork, paintwork and interior are all vendor rated as “average” with note being made of some rust on the rear tub.‘WPG 924M’ has benefitted from plenty of mechanical attention, too. The brake shoes and brake cylinders have been replaced, a new fuel tank fitted and replacement axle oil seals fitted. The other fundamental Land Rover mechanicals are present such as the high / low transfer box and the selectable four wheel drive. Locking front hubs are also fitted. A parts manual, V5 and numerous old MOTs are included. In summary:· Nicely complete and original Series III 88” station wagon· Complete with many valuable spare parts and accompanying paperwork· Reported to start and run very well

Lot 76

Registration – RS63 BBBChassis No. – WUAZZZF27NN900501M.O.T. – September 2025Odometer – 37,600Whilst the Audi RS6 sits at the top of the A6 model lineage, the Carbon Vorsprung is the ultimate offering in the RS6 range. With the “standard” RS6 Avant Carbon Vorsprung already having a retail price today of a shade under £135,000, ‘RS63 BBB’ raises the bar still further with a raft of performance upgrades and valuable extras. These comprise a Stage 2 map, a Milltek de-cat full exhaust system and Wagner performance intercoolers and air intake. The original factory hardware is also included in the sale. These enhancements are reported to take ‘RS63 BBB’s’ power output to over 800bhp and its torque to around 1200 NM. True supercar vanquishing territory! What’s more ‘RS63 BBB’ is a one owner car having covered a mere 37,600 miles to date. An example of the current C8 RS6 model, ‘RS63 BBB’ features the optional Carbon Styling Pack worth many thousands as well as the myriad of standard equipment deemed worthy of the range topping RS6.The C8 version of the Audi A6 arrived in 2019 and remains current today. The RS6 version joined the range, as usual, to become one of the fastest and most capable “cars for all seasons” that it is possible to buy. The RS6 features a 4.0L Twin-Turbo V8 feeding power to all four wheels via Audi’s 8-Speed automatic gearbox. In a non-modified form this configuration is good for a sub four second 0-60mph time and an electronically limited top speed of over 170mph. And all this whist carrying a chest of drawers in the back, should you so choose. ‘RS63 BBB,’ of course, benefits from performance enhancements that will improve on those figures still further.‘RS63 BBB’ presents in Daytona Grey matt effect, another expensive option. This combined with the various carbon fibre accoutrements of that Carbon Styling Pack give ‘RS63 BBB’ a mountain of road presence and more than a little brooding menace. A set of Vossen HF2 alloy wheels in anodised bronze are fitted to add the aesthetic shock and awe as well as to the growing list of expensive extras present. The capacious cabin is exquisitely trimmed in black Valcona leather with a honeycomb quilted design and accompanying RS6 embossing. The level of factory equipment included is extensive, of course. Highlights include a panoramic sunroof, heated front and rear seats, adaptive cruise control and power-assisted door closers. There's also RS Sport Suspension Plus with dynamic ride control. Given ‘RS63 BBB’s’ one owner, low mileage provenance all aspects of the car are vendor rated as “excellent.”In summary:· A superb example current Audi RS6 model in range topping Carbon Vorsprung spec.· Further enhanced by way of high-specification, high-value performance upgrades· A single owner car with a very sensible original mileage and model specific registration plate

Registration – NT54 HLHChassis No. – ZAR93700005131430M.O.T. – September 2025Odometer – 64,370The Alfa Romeo 147 was launched in 2000 as a replacement for the 145 / 146 model range. By 2001 it had scooped the prestigious European Car of the Year Award and in 2002 the mighty 3.2-litre GTA was launched. ‘NT54 HTH’ is a GTA hailing from 2004 and used for most of its life on the salt-free roads of Japan. ‘NT54 HTH’ was first registered in the UK in October 2024 and features the rarer Selespeed automated manual gearbox. Of the 5,000 or so GTA’s made only 1,004 were Selespeed equipped. ‘NT54 HTH’ has had just two keepers to date and has covered a recorded 64,491 kilometres (40,072 miles) to date. This GTA holds an advisory free MOT until September 2025 and comes complete with original book pack and a partial service history both here and in Japan. With just 1,004 Selespeeds ever produced ‘NT54 HTH’ represents a rare and exciting ownership prospect for a surprisingly modest outlay. At the heart of the 147 GTA sits the mighty 3.2-litre V6 engine designed by the legendary Giuseppe Busso. In this application the naturally aspirated Busso unit originally delivered just under 250bhp. This is paired with the innovative Selespeed six-speed automated manual transmission which can be operated manually in a sequential manner, via shift paddles in a self-shifting “city mode.” This superb mechanical specification lent the GTA a 150mph plus top speed and a 0-60mph time in the mid six second bracket. The vendor rates ‘NT54 HTH’s’ engine and transmission as “excellent” with the electrics garnering a “good.”‘NT54 HTH’ features a popular and attractive Nuvola Blue livery and sports a set of original “Teledial” alloy wheels in a 17-inch configuration. The open architecture of the wheels allows sight of the red finished Alfa Romeo inscribed callipers. The cabin of ‘NT54 HTH’ is finished in a practical black fabric with light, horizonal flecks running through it. Factory Bose speakers are fitted as are heated front seats and a contemporary double DIN multimedia screen. The level of originality on show here is admirably high throughout. The paintwork, bodywork and interior all gain vendor ratings of “good.”In summary:· One of just over 1,000 147 GTA Selespeeds made· A two owner car with an eminently sensible mileage· Complete with a partial service history and valid, advisory free MOT

Lot 62

A FLEMISH BIBLICAL TAPESTRY OF JUDITH AND HOLOFERNES BRUSSELS, 17TH CENTURY After Hendrik Goltzius, with Judith elegantly dressed, feather plumage to her hair, holding aloft Holofernes head and his bloodied sword, maidservant at her side, within architectural side borders with scrolling foliage, upper and lower borders with cartouches inscribed with text: "FORTITUDO JUDITH SAPIENTA CONFORTAT SAPIENTEM SUPER DECEM PRINCIPES CIVITATIS, ECCL VII" AND "APPREHENDIT CENIAM CAPITIS EIUS ET ABSCIDIT CAPUT EIUS, jud XIII" approximately 380 x 263cm Provenance: Acquired from Paolo Asta, Venice The composition and details would seem to be drawn from a woodcut print from 1600-1610 by Christoffel van Sichem I after Hendrik Goltzius (1558-1617) a painter, engraver and publisher in Haarlem. For comparison, please see an example of this print held in the British Museum (Museum number 1856,0614.131). This scene is taken from a series depicting the story of the heroine- Judith of Bethulia. Her city besieged by the Assyrians, Judith pretended to desert her people and was captured by the enemy. Attracting the attentions of its general Holofernes she took advantage of his drunken slumber after a feast, drew his sword and struck off his head. News of his death caused panic amongst his army and they fled- leaving Judith and her city safe. A very similar example of this scene, almost certainly woven by the same workshop and only lacking the text to the lower cartouche, is supposedly held in the French National Collections in Palais des Beaux-Arts, Lille, France but, at the time of cataloguing, this has not been confirmed. The text to the cartouches is loosely drawn from biblical text. The upper section is taken from Ecclesiastes chapter 7, verse 20 and exemplifies Judith's most important virtues to historians and readers of her tale- "Fortitudo and Sapienta"- strength and wisdom. "Sapientia confortavit sapientem super decem principes civitatis" (Wisdom makes one wise person more powerful than ten rulers in a city) The lower cartouche is abbreviated from verses 9 & 10 from Judith chapter 13: 9 Cumque evaginasset illum, apprehendit comam capitis ejus, et ait: Confirma me, Domine Deus, in hac hora." (And when she had drawn it out, she took him by the hair of his head, and said: Strengthen me, O Lord God, at this hour) 10 Et percussit bis in cervicem ejus, et abscidit caput ejus, et abstulit conopeum ejus a columnis, et evolvit corpus ejus truncum. (And she struck twice upon his neck, and cut off his head, and took off his canopy from the pillars, and rolled away his headless body). Condition Report: With wear, marks, and surface wear as per age, handling, use, and cleaning. The whole with characteristic slight muting to colours from sunlight and exposure but still retaining stronger pinks, yellows and shades of blue. Not rebacked and inspection from reverse reveals that edges have been wrapped slightly and then backed- visible main field from reverse showing holes from pulling to fabric, scattered small insect holes throughout. Lowest band to base probably later and some small areas of historic stitch repairs- mostly at good conservation level but of their time. Please see additional images for visual references to condition which form part of this condition report. All lots are available for inspection and Condition Reports are available on request. However, all lots are of an age and type which means that they may not be in perfect condition and should be viewed by prospective bidders; please refer to Condition 6 of the Conditions of Business for Buyers. λ‡ JULES DE BALINCOURT (FRENCH/AMERICAN B. 1972) THE SPECTACLE OF SPACE AND OTHER FALLACIES Oil and collage on board 86 x 76.5cm (33¾ x 30 in.) UnframedPainted in 2015.Provenance: Galerie Thaddaeus Ropac, Acquired from the above on the 11 December 2015Exhibited: Paris, Galerie Thaddaeus Ropac, Space Age, November 2015Originally exhibited in a group show at Thaddaeus Ropac in Paris in 2015, The Spectacle of Space and other Fallacies, was one of three new works by the artist whose titles belie what could be simple decorative illustrations if taken at face value. Instead, the title hints at how space has been commodified and consumed in modern society and suggests the notion that we have, in some part, been misled or, at best, that there is a different version of the truth than the one we have been offered. Based in Brooklyn, New York, de Balincourt is known for his use of bold, strong colours. At once abstract and figurative, the artist presents often dream-like images which appear simple but which strike at the core of contemporary issues, whether that be political, social or philosophical. His work questions the structures of power and influence, frequently highighting areas of injustice and discrimination, presenting the viewer with depictions of both utopia and dystopia. "Art for me, it always was about beauty and seduction at a certain level, the first thing that draws you to art is to be pulled into it, seduced by it.....but it can't just be sugar-coated sweetness, I need an edge or tension or... I like the idea of these paintings standing at a crossroad where it could go either way. I like to leave that suspense." Jules de Balincourt Cited in Port Magazine, 30 January 2018 Condition Report: In good original condition. No evidence of retouching or restoration visible under ultraviolet light.Condition Report Disclaimer

The 944 was to feature new styling based upon the Le Mans styled Porsche 924 Carrera GT, along with a brand-new Porsche-designed and developed 2.5 litre, four-cylinder engine. Sales of the 168bhp coupé went through the roof with a massive 26,800 Porsche 944s being produced by the end of 1982. To put this figure into context, the entire Porsche company made just 28,000 cars in 1981. The new Porsche owners were attracted by the stunning looks and presence of the model and in 1985, the 'Lux' coupé arrived with a completely new interior design dominated by a smooth, sweeping oval dashboard. This severed all ties with the 924 and completed the move upmarket for the 944. The dash provided improved ergonomics for the instruments with all useful components and buttons placed close at hand. Presented in black with cream leather trim, this 944 sitting on iconic Pepperpot alloy wheels was first registered on 18th March 1987. Significant history fileA rare and interesting exampleOver £30,000 spent by the vendor during his stewardshipBearing its original number plateThe Bentley S2, a luxurious British automobile from the early 1950s, is a prime example of the exquisite craftsmanship and refinement Bentley was known for during this era. The S2, introduced in 1955, marked a significant transition in Bentley’s history, as it was the first model to feature a V8 engine, replacing the previous straight-six engines. This shift allowed the Bentley S2 to offer both improved performance and a smoother driving experience, encapsulating the perfect blend of power and elegance that the marque was renowned for. One of the most distinguished aspects of the Bentley S2 was the work of H.J. Mulliner, the famed coachbuilder that was commissioned to design and build many bespoke bodies for Bentley and Rolls-Royce models during the mid-20th century. The collaboration between Bentley and H.J. Mulliner resulted in some of the most elegant and visually striking cars of the era. Mulliner was known for its attention to detail, and the bespoke bodywork of the Bentley S2 reflected this philosophy, with each car meticulously tailored to the specifications of the owner. The Mulliner-designed Bentley S2 was typically a two-door coupé or a four-door saloon, featuring exquisite hand-finished wood panelling, sumptuous leather upholstery, and intricate detailing both inside and out. The exterior was characterised by flowing, graceful lines, with a prominent front grille that proudly displayed the Bentley emblem. Mulliner’s craftsmanship also extended to the interior, where soft leather seats, polished wood veneers, and chrome accents adorned the cabin, elevating the driving experience to a level of opulence few could match. Performance-wise, the Bentley S2 was powered by a 6.2-litre V8 engine, which provided a smooth yet powerful driving experience. With around 200 horsepower, it could comfortably reach speeds over 100 mph, offering both comfort and performance in equal measure. The car’s advanced engineering also included improved suspension systems that ensured a smooth, quiet ride, no matter the road conditions.Offering charm and character in abundance, this Bentley S2 has had an interesting history. Originally registered on 13th January 1961 the chassis of this Continental was delivered to H.J. Mulliner on 12th September 1960. The two-door saloon body was painted in Mist Green and the car was trimmed with green leather upholstery. It still bears these colours today, the paintwork is largely original, the vendor being reluctant to paint the car as he is particularly fond of originality. Any new owner may choose to have the paintwork refreshed, the estimate reflecting this. The first owner, a Mr. Percy Levy from London N.W.3 specified some interesting extras on the car when he commissioned it. These include a sunroof, electric windows, electric aerial, combined parking/flashing lights, a fire extinguisher and a Bentley mascot. In addition to these a rear reading lamp to the nearside and a single headrest again to the nearside rear would indicate that this was a chauffeur driven car.Purchased by the vendor in 2017 for £265,000 from Royce Engineering. In 2019 he commissioned Royce Engineering to carry out extensive mechanical work, which included overhauling the front suspension and steering box, overhauling the brakes front and rear, replacement of the engine and exhaust mounts, overhauling the carburettors, supply and fit a new starter motor and carry out a major service. This work totalled £24,958.71 which was in addition to spending nearly £6,000 on the car in 2018 on interior and boot cosmetics. With invoices dating back to 1978 the comprehensive history folder makes for interesting reading. A copy of the original build sheets are in the file, showing the car was originally supplied by Jack Barclay Ltd. The Bentley S2 by H.J. Mulliner was not just a car; it was a statement of status and sophistication. The combination of Bentley’s engineering and Mulliner’s bespoke design meant that each S2 was a unique masterpiece, built to the specific desires of its owner. Today, these quintessentially British cars are highly sought after by collectors and enthusiasts, admired for their timeless beauty, craftsmanship, and performance. Consigned by Stewart Banks.
