Duff was also a fisherman, ghillie, violin maker and friend of Queen Victoria. The cartes de visite are by MacKenzie of Burham, each 10.5 x 6cm, all with light surface marks and one with minor edge fading, the larger portrait is 16 x 11cm and mounted (6) Formerly owned by the Late Murray Mackinnon, a renowned collector of photography documenting Scottish life from the mid-19th to early-20th century.
