Beardy Willy Duff, Gamekeeper and Ghillie to 5th Duke Of Atholl 6 portraits, c.1860s Group of 5 cartes de visite and a larger mounted albumen photograph of William Duff (1809-1882), the multi-talented gamekeeper to the 5th Duke of Atholl. Duff was also a fisherman, ghillie, violin maker and friend of Queen Victoria. The cartes de visite are by MacKenzie of Burham, each 10.5 x 6cm, all with light surface marks and one with minor edge fading, the larger portrait is 16 x 11cm and mounted (6) Formerly owned by the Late Murray Mackinnon, a renowned collector of photography documenting Scottish life from the mid-19th to early-20th century.

A late 19th cased century French unmarked violin and bow, body 35cm high. No cracks or splits seen; general wear and loss of varnish to back and to underside of fingerboard; interior lacking bridge support.   Back 35.5cm; 59cm overall, from top of scroll.  Bow unsigned; worn.
