Jean Bulio (French, 1827-1911), a 19th century French bronze 'Enfant Charmeur' modelled as Cupid playing a violin whilst seated upon a rouge marble column, applied with ormolu roses and bronze lovebirds, 27cm wide, 89cm high A striking bronze in honest slightly neglected condition, patination varies from a coppery brown on his chest to a mid chocolate brown elsewhere, bow to the violin bent out of shape with strings a little loose, otherwise a little dusty with some oxidisation spots, roses to the plinth with wear to the gilding, bronze birds at the base are loose but should fix in place without difficulty, title plaque to the base of the work.PLEASE NOTE:- Prospective buyers are strongly advised to examine personally any goods in which they are interested BEFORE the auction takes place.
