A German violin. Labelled 'Antonius, & Hieronymus FR. Amati Cremonen Andrea fil F .1679 Made In Germany'. The two-piece back has a length of 35.5cm, with the overall length of the instrument being 60cm, case included. The fingerboard is loose and the neck has pulled forward away from the body, most likely due to string tension. This has also pushed the ribs on both sides of the heel forward and will need to be repaired with glue.
