A German violin. Labelled 'Antonius, & Hieronymus FR. Amati Cremonen Andrea fil F .1679 Made In Germany'. The two-piece back has a length of 35.5cm, with the overall length of the instrument being 60cm, case included. The fingerboard is loose and the neck has pulled forward away from the body, most likely due to string tension. This has also pushed the ribs on both sides of the heel forward and will need to be repaired with glue.

German porcelain miniature orchestra/theatre group and audience. 20th century Rudolstadt Volkstedt Dresden. Includes pianist and piano, 3 violin players, a cello/double base player, a flautist, 3 couples, and 3 other figures and 2 music stands. This set was believed to have been saved (either looted or liberated) from a German castle at the end of WW2 and British officers are said to have blown the safe in which they were found.  Condition: very good with no apparent issues apart from one music stand has come apart (see picture) Tallest approx 7 cm

Jean Bulio (French, 1827-1911), a 19th century French bronze 'Enfant Charmeur' modelled as Cupid playing a violin whilst seated upon a rouge marble column, applied with ormolu roses and bronze lovebirds, 27cm wide, 89cm high A striking bronze in honest slightly neglected condition, patination varies from a coppery brown on his chest to a mid chocolate brown elsewhere, bow to the violin bent out of shape with strings a little loose, otherwise a little dusty with some oxidisation spots, roses to the plinth with wear to the gilding, bronze birds at the base are loose but should fix in place without difficulty, title plaque to the base of the work.PLEASE NOTE:- Prospective buyers are strongly advised to examine personally any goods in which they are interested BEFORE the auction takes place.
