Lawrence in RAF uniform, seated on his Brough motorcycle, registration 'RK 4907' ["George V"], prob. 1926, contemporary reproduction black and white photograph showing Lawrence in profile seated on his stationary motor-bike on hardcore in front of some scrub grass, his cap shading his eyes, right foot on clutch pedal, the horizon level with his shoulders, pencilled inscription in Lawrence's hand to verso, 'At Cranwell, Kennington Coll [?]#29' and underneath, 'Negative here', possibly in another hand, 106 x 151. mm. Very similar, but not identical, to an image sometimes reproduced from a photograph held in the Bodleian Library. See, for example, p. 194 (and dust-jacket) of Malcolm Brown & Julia Cave's A Touch of Genius: The Life of T.E. Lawrence (Dent, 1988).
