Die handwerkliche Herausforderung - wie beispielsweise ein ebenmäßiger Hammerschlagdekor und perfekt verarbeite Nähte, an denen die Einzelteile zu einem harmonischen Ganzen verbunden werden - steht wieder im Zentrum. Durch die sich gleichende Stilistik Hoffmanns sind unsere beiden Kerzenleuchter (Lot 3014 und Lot 3015) hochinteressante Beispiele für den Anfang und das Ende der Wiener Werkstätte. (AWR)

An early 20th century Austro-Hungarian silver gilt gem set necklace, the necklace with a circular cut green garnet and glass doublet to the centre, surmounted by a two-tailed mermaid motif. A large pendant drop rub set with a circular cut garnet and glass doublet, accented by smaller oval garnet and glass doublets and blister pearls, to an open scrolling frame with girandole fringes, one deficient. The back chain designed as a line of pierced plaques, set with green garnet and glass doublets, one collet vacant, flanked by seed pearls and faux pearls. The ornate scrolled crest with inset picture, the frame with floral mouldings above two twin branch candle sconces, with a small central shelf, height 121cm, width 64cm.The shell crest has a glued repair, there are a few replacements and glued sections and breaks below the shelf, and there are also a few cracks in the gesso.Please see the additional images.

A 19th Century Victorian brass worked girandole Ladies dressing table mirror. The mirror of oval form housing a single bevelled edge plate mirror glass within foliate decoration to the frame. Twin Candle sconces to the front surround by floral decoration and rococo detailing. Plain armorial cartouche above Measures approx. 56cm x 34cm. A rare pair of 'Coque de Perle' earrings, circa 1760, each of girandole design, composed of 'coque de perles' in gold settings, length 6.6cm each, hook and clip fittings'Coque de Perle' is the term given to filled composites of mother of pearl, consisting of a curved outer section taken from a spiral shell, backed with a flat section of mother of pearl and filled for stability and weight, designed to imitate large natural pearls. These rare earrings take the form of the girandole, a popular 18th century earring shape, which suspends three pendants.
