The vertical ribs of the flask twist clockwise and are impeccably executed, adding depth and texture to the design. Ca. 500 - 400 BC.A Daunian terracotta askos. The body of the vessel is flask-like, rounded, and vaguely zoomorphic, with a short, flat tail and a tall, cylindrical spout with a wide, nearly flat mouth. A flat handle from the centre of the body was used to hold the vase in the rituals. The vessel has black and dark red geometric motifs.
