A silk Victorian striped dress from the 1860s, bottle green with a paler green background, the bodice has eleven glass buttons, fan design sleeves with strips of green ribbon, the underside of the dress has an attached lining and the hemline is edged in the same fabric (marks and iron mould but these cannot be seen on the outside of the dress also perspiration marks to underarms).

The frame has general wear to include some rubbing to the gilding and there is a hole/build up of something to the lower edge of the frame.
