A RARE AND UNUSUAL 19TH-CENTURY OAK GOLF PUTTING-PRACTISE CAGE of oblong form, the oak sides linked by metal rods to the top and back, the oak door closing on a simple lever mechanism, 7.5cm x 18.5cm x 6.5cm high, (3in x 7.3in x 2.5in), sold with a photograph of a print by the artist Frank Moss Bennett, (1874-1953), an old-fashioned genre scene with gentlemen in earlier costume, practising their putting by using these devices (2).
