Vincenti, Paris a three-piece clock garniture: the eight-day duration movement striking the hours and half-hours on a bell, the backplate stamped with the trademark of the maker Vincenti et Cie, along with the serial number 5215, the round white enamel dial having black Arabic hour numerals and decorative gilt-brass pierced and engraved hands, the case of two ormolu cherubs leaning on the clock and standing on a shaped white marble base with an ormolu mount to the front depicting a swag of material with inset pierced mounts to the curved sides, all standing on ormolu feet, with two matching two-light candelabra side pieces, height 32cms (clock) 29cms (candelabra)* Biography Vincenti set up his factory producing blancs roulants in Montbeliard in 1823 but went bankrupt a year later, whereupon the clock manufacturer Roux took on the management. They were awarded silver medals for their movements at the Paris Exhibitions of 1824 and 1855. Vincenti died in 1834.

The clock strikes on the hour and half hour. Dial lightly grubby with a few marks, some light scratches and rubbing to the numbers. Case lightly grubby, with some light marks and a slight shallow dent to the left hand edge of the foot plate. Gond with some rusting. Glass with a few light scuffs.
