He attended Liverpool College of Art between 1957 and 1963 where he became good friends with John Lennon. When the Beatles did a week's residency in Llandudno in 1963, Hague lent Lennon his old Ford so that he could drive around the town incognito. In 1967, Lennon sponsored an exhibition of Hague's work at the Royal Institute Gallery, Piccadilly, London.

Two publications, one titled 'Nadolig Llawen' (Dec 1968, 40pp) and one 'Gilet De Sauvetage Est Sous La Siege' (Nov 1968, 20pp), both appearing to be satirical in-house booklets (each approx 15x24cm) written by and for staff at the Apple offices. The booklets gently poke fun at Apple related figures (inc the four Beatles), most commonly Derek Taylor. Provenance: given to the vendor by a friend who had worked with Brian Epstein in the 1960s at NEMS.
