[BBC Broadcasts c.15 typescript scripts of "The Goon Show"], 5 vol., extensive manuscript corrections, numerous pp., most laid down to notebook, some loose, occasional light surface stains, contemporary blue buckram-backed boards, paper label with ink manuscript title pasted to upper covers, a few covers with flecks of paint, some rubbing to extremities, corners worn, folio, [1952-53].*** "The Goon Show", also known as "Crazy People" starring Peter Sellers, Harry Seacombe, Michael Bentine, and Spike Milligan, was a British radio comedy programme which had considerable influence on the development of British and American comedy and popular culture, with King Charles III and The Beatles being listeners of the show. The show satirised contemporary British life, using puns, catchphrases and bizarre sound effects. Other scripts included in this lot are "Meet the Huggetts" by Eddie Maguire, and "Just William".

John Lennon - A limited edition Bill Zygmant photograph montage, titled 'Instant Karma 'We All Shine On', John Lennon & Yoko rehearsing Top Of The Pops 1970, photography by Bill Zygmant 6/100. NB - Bill Zygmant was a Fleet Street photographer in the 1970s and 80s and was famous for photographing the Beatles. These photographs were part of a 2010 exhibition of previously unseen photographs he took in 1970s, after he found the negatives in a bag.
