An extremely rare low numbered stereo vinyl pressing of The Beatles White Album. PCS 7067. It is number 0000012. The minimalistic sleeve design was conceived by Richard Hamilton who not only suggested this approach but also the idea of the consecutively numbered sleeves which would ironically give a limited edition feel to a potentially multi-million selling record. Very few copies of the album with this low a number have surfaced on to the market. Provenance: the album was given by George and Pattie Harrison one afternoon in 1968 when the couple called round to the vendor’s flat in London. I'd known Pattie Boyd for some time and I was at her mews flat just off Hyde Park Corner one evening in 1964. The phone rang, I answered it, and it was George Harrison calling from the USA where The Beatles were touring. When he got back we met and became friends. Over the course of the next few years we saw quite a lot of each other at restaurants, clubs like Tramp and Crazy E, my flat in London, their house in Esher, later on Friar Park. A few anecdotes: George took me to recording studios. He gave me a 12-string guitar. One night he came round to the flat with John and Paul! George bought me a jacket from Granny Takes A Trip in the Kings Road We were in the 'All You Need Is Love' video! They sometimes brought the latest releases and, for instance, I had a treasured acetate demo of Across The Universe which got played so much the stylus nearly went through it. But then, they weren't very tough. There was a low number copy of the White Album that they'd brought round to the flat one day and when I spoke to George on the phone I mentioned I had it, he said – ‘keep it, it's yours’. It is this copy of the White Album, number 0000012, given to me by George and Pattie, that I have consigned to the Tracks auction beginning on the 21st February 2025.'The record does not come with black inners, poster and the four photographs. The condition of the labels is very good. There are numerous light surface marks over all four sides of the vinyl. The condition of the vinyl is very good minus. The sleeve has a spine split along the tope edge, ring wear, and several creases to the front and reverse covers. There are also crease marks to all four edges. The condition is good.

An original sixties black and white photograph of The Beatles taken at the photographic studio of Albert Marrion in Wallasey, Merseyside on the 17th December 1961. This was the group’s first ever professional photo shoot and was paid for by Brian Epstein who had telephoned Albert to ask if he could photograph the group as he had taken the wedding photos for Brian’s brother Clive Epstein. Marrion recalled: ‘At first, I was reluctant to accept the task. We were primarily a portrait and wedding studio. In fact, the reason Epstein called me was I had been the photographer for his brother Clive’s wedding.’ Albert took about thirty photographs of the Beatles but discarded all but sixteen negatives because many showed Lennon and McCartney acting up and spoiling the pose. No doubt, those negatives should have been kept, looking back. One of the images later became famous when it appeared on the front cover of Mersey Beat magazine in January 1962 and was used for promotional cards. The photograph measures 21cm x 16.5cm (8.3 inches x 6.5 inches). The condition is very good.

It was an exhibition of Czechoslovakian graphic art and being twelve years old we were starting to get bored. We knew that the Beatles were in Sheffield to play a concert at the City Hall. As we reached the hotel we saw the Beatles on the steps and approached them for the autographs’. The flyer measures 10.5cm x 18.25cm (4.1 inches x 7.2 inches). The condition is good.
An original rare membership card for the 2i’s Coffee Club. It is date stamped 1 Feb 1962 on the reverse. The address is printed across the top as ’59, Old Crompton Street, London, W1.’ The 2i's Coffee Club first opened as a coffee shop in the 1950s by the Irani brothers, it changed ownership and became a notable music venue for skiffle groups and discovering new rock artists. Several groups had residency’s including The Vipers, Tommy Steele, The Vagabonds, Cliff Richard & The Drifters and more. In Beatles folklore, the 2i’s Coffee Club is legendary for being the place where Alan William first met German promoter Bruno Koschmider. In mid-1960 Alan William drove to London to try and drum up business in the 2i’s Coffee Club in Soho. In what Williams later described as a ‘million to one chance’, sat in the 2i's on the same night as he arrived in London was Bruno Koschmider. Koschmider wanted to book UK rock ‘n roll bands to play in his club in Hamburg, William was able to supply them. Allan subsequently described the meeting as like ‘Stanley meeting Livingstone’. First he arranged with Koschmider a series of bookings for Derry And The Seniors to play in the Kaiserkeller, followed by a series of bookings for The Beatles to play at the Indra, Hamburg. Paul McCartney commented, ‘What happened was some fella came over from Hamburg wanted rock ‘n roll groups and somehow he got the idea that they were all in London at the 2i’s and someone at the 2i’s, I think, said there were also a couple of groups in Liverpool so Alan Williams became the agent for all the Liverpool groups.’ John, Paul, George, Stu and Pete were on their way… The membership card measures 7cm x 4.5cm (2.7 inches x 1.7 inches). There is light wear to the edges and small creases around the corners, with some small marks on the reverse. The card has been signed on the front in pen. The condition is very good.
