A 17th/18th Century black japanned cabinet on later giltwood stand, the cabinet incorporating four sections from a Japanese lacquer screen, the surface carved in relief and decorated in coloured lacquers and gilt with a pavilion by a lake, the framework decorated with a gilt key motif, with engraved gilt brass mounts, the interior fitted with a shelf and four small drawers, 30ins wide x 16.5ins deep x 31ins high, the giltwood stand with bold fretted and carved bird and leaf scroll front and side aprons, raised on four cabriole supports carved with caryatids, leaf scroll and floral ornament, 36ins wide, overall 61ins high
