James Bond 007 - Sir Roger Moore KBE (1927-2017) - Sir Roger Moores personally owned cigar humidor - an American walnut box with brass lock, hinges, and key with gold coloured tassel, contained inside are three Cuban Habana cigars, a slim line metal Habana cigar case, and a loosely inserted metal plaque which reads Roger Moore 1967, please note this was not fixed to the box, from Sir Rogers office at Pinewood Studios, 12 x 7.5 x 3.5 inches, (6) together with a typed letter signed by Gareth Owen, PA to Sir Roger Moore from 2002 to 2016, on a single sheet of the Sir Roger Moores KBE headed notepaper confirming ownership and the gifting of the cigar humidor; and a further Certificate of Authenticity Signed by Gareth Owen, printed on cream card and reads, This is to confirm that this cigar box belonged to Roger Moore, back in the days when he smoked! . . . Gareth Owen PA to Sir Roger Moore 1stAugust 2017, (2); (8)Sir Roger Moores association with Pinewood Studios began in 1947 when as a young lieutenant serving in the Combined Services Entertainment Unit, he screen-tested for the male lead in The Blue Lagoon (1949). In the early 1970s Roger Moore took an office at the Pinewood when he started working on the TV series, The Persuaders, and became a permanent resident of the studio whist portraying James Bond in seven films. Sir Roger kept the office from early 1970s to 2016.Provenance: Gifted to the vendor by Gareth Owen in 2016. Gareth Owen worked for Roger Moore as his PA, manager and biographer from 2002 until the actors death in 2017.Condition Report: CR:- In excellent condition, no marks to the external walnut and clearly used from the inner contents!. A rare find and worth viewing!
