The soapstone carving has a small piece broken off at the top and the jadeite figure has been repaired (broken in half and the head broken off previously). A collection of 19th century Chinese celadon porcelain to include 14 dinner plates diameter 26cm, 36 dessert plates diameter 19.5cm, 18 side plates diameter 15cm three shallow bowls two other celadon bowls. Most with blue seal marks. (73) Condition: five dinner plates with no condition issues, eleven dessert plates no condition issues, five side plates no condition issues. all others with various chips, cracks, hairlines and glaze flaws.
CHINESE BRONZE BUDDHA. 18thc in style but probably later, the figure seated in contemplation and with splashes of gilding in places. With a seal mark to the reverse (diffiicult to read), 23.5cms high. *CR One finger on the hand raised has been repaired, marks to the surface (top of one arm and sleeve), small dents to the base, general wear over time.
A CHINESE CELADON INK POT ON HARDWOOD STAND, AND A TEA CADDY. Including a Chinese celadon seal paste box, of square shape with canted corners and a Dragon motif to the lid, bearing character marks to the base (5cms square). Also with an early 20thc tea caddy, brightly painted with vases of flowers to each side (12cms high). Both with wooden stands, the caddy with a wooden lid (not original). (2) *Provenance, formally owned by Lieutenant Commander Henry Radcliffe James, who lived at Edgeworth Manor near Stroud, and has passed through the family. *CR Box, seems generally fine, small very small firing cracks to the footrim (from manufacture). Stand, one foot has been repaired.Caddy, lid not original, tiny flea bites down the edges (very minor), some chips to the raised decoration on each side (foliage border). Stand, generally fine - small chip to the pierced base (T section), lid - small slither out of the base of the lid.

A 20thC Chinese porcelain charger, the central field decorated with figures at court enclosed by a floral border with butterflies and fruit, the deep border having four similar cartouches over a gilt ground with butterflies, fruit and flora, the exterior decorated with fruit and flowers, the unglazed base with six character Qianlong red seal mark, 56cm diameter.

A Chinese blue & white spittoon and three vases, late Qing Dynasty the spittoon painted with dragons amongst cloud and fire scrolls with waves below, apocryphal Kangxi seal mark, 12cm [small chip to rim]; a Gu vase painted with warriors and auspicious objects, 16cm [bruise to rim]; a vase painted with a female deity amongst clouds, apocryphal six-character Kangxi mark, 20cm [discoloured firing faults]; and a vase painted with dragons pursuing a sacred pearl, apocryphal four-character Kangxi mark, 26cm [interior crack] 4.
A sturdily potted vase rising from a short spreading foot, moulded in relief on each of the sides with the Eight Trigrams, bagua, arranged in horizontal registers of two columns, covered overall with an unctuous, widely-crackled Guan-type glaze stopping at the foot ring, the base with the bottom with a Chinese qianlong seal mark in underglaze blue. Height 25 cm.

Two porcelain cups decorated with beautifully coloured enamels on and under the glaze. The pure white interior contrasts with the deep yellow background of the exterior, which is decorated with geometric borders, large medallions set in reserve on the body, containing Chinese letters, and elongated coloured branches ending in spirals. Two glazed porcelain bowls. They have a narrow circular foot on which is supported a curved body that widens towards the mouth. They are decorated with a white interior and a deep yellow colour covering the exterior, on which are successive bands of auspicious Chinese characters in gold. Modelled porcelain, with a short circular foot on which rests a deep body with a curved profile, widening towards the mouth. It is decorated with underglaze blue and overglaze red enamels, set on a pure white background. Inside is a central medallion framed by a double blue circle, depicting a wise old man accompanied by a beautiful deer against a background of crashing waves. The exterior shows a continuous scene with the same background of red waves, on which stand the Eight Immortals, richly robed and bearing their distinctive attributes, or An Baxian, some of them. At the base is a six-character seal ‘??????’ in underglaze blue. The Eight Immortals are deities from Chinese mythology who are believed to have existed in earthly form, and dedicated their lives to the pursuit of immortality, which they attained through the Tao.
