Finely executed Chinese ancestral portrait painting on paper, possibly depicting Empress Dowager Cixi, one of the most influential figures of the late Qing dynasty. The sitter is portrayed in a regal frontal pose, seated on an ornate wooden chair, wearing an opulent red robe richly adorned with five-clawed imperial dragons, stylized clouds, and auspicious Buddhist symbols. The robe's elaborate embroidery in gold, blue, and green pigments signifies high status, as such motifs were reserved for members of the imperial court. She wears an elaborate headdress featuring phoenix motifs, pearls, and floral embellishments, further reinforcing her noble standing. Ancestral portraits of this nature were traditionally commissioned for veneration and held deep significance in Confucian practices, serving as a means to honor lineage and preserve historical memory. A pair of Chinese ‘Eight Immortals’ porcelain figures, Qing Dynasty. Finely modelled with two deities of the Eight Immortals, Lan Caihe holding a flower basket in the left hand while resting the right hand on the waist, and Cao Guojiu holding a fan covering the right side of his head while grasping a string in the left hand. Both figures stand on an elaborately modelled base with waves and human-formed sea creatures. One figure bears an impressed seal mark “杜雲龍造” on the interior of the base.
