NO RESERVE Literary periodical.- Paris Review (The), a good but broken run of 34 vol., comprising vol.13-16, 22-26, 29, and 30-53, original printed and pictorial wrappers, a little rubbed and creased, 8vo, Paris, Sadruddin Aga Khan, 1956-72.⁂ The contributors to this famous journal, founded by George Plimpton, Peter Matthiessen and Harold L. Humes in 1953, reads like a veritable 'Who's Who' of the literary and art world, and included: Jean Genet, Francoise Sagan, Thornton Wilder, Truman Capote, Lawrence Durrell, Aldous Huxley, Robert Frost, Malcolm Lowry, Henry Miller, Pablo Picasso, Jean Cocteau, Simone de Beauvoir, Saul Bellow, Allen Ginsberg, Arthur Miller, e.e. cummings, Jorge Luis Borges and Jack Kerouac. Rare American Airborne M1942 Jump Jacketkhaki green, single breasted jacket with turn over collar. Full length front zip and two small zips to the top to secure a penknife pocket. Large, bellow pockets to the chest and waist, all with press stud fastened flaps. Cuffs with press stud fastening. Loose belt with simple buckle. Cotton, USA flag to the right sleeve. Later added 101st Airborne patch to the left arm. Clean condition.

‡ A SOUTH GERMAN CLOSE HELMET, CIRCA 1570 with rounded medially-ridged one-piece skull fitted at its flanged lower edge with single rounded rear gorget-plate (restored), at its nape with a tapering plume-tube and at its front with an obtusely-pointed peak, a buffe (restored) and a bevor (associated) all attached by common pivots with radially-fluted heads (restored), the buffe cut at its upper edge with semi-circular apertures for the eyes and pierced bellow them with three rows of horizontal ventilation-slots, and the flanged lower edge of the bevor fitted with a single obtusely-pointed front gorget-plate, the bevor secured to the skull, and the buffe secured to the bevor at the right side in each instance with a spring-catch having a push-button release, and the main edges of the peak and gorget-plates formed with file-roped outward turns accompanied by recessed borders (tarnished and lightly patinated overall) 31.5 cm; 12 in
