New Kingdom, Ca. 1550 - 1069 BC.A collection of 18 faience amulets. Each amulet represents Taweret, the goddess of childbirth and fertility. She is depicted in right profile as a pregnant hippopotamus with pendulous breasts and a prominent snout. The second amulet depicts a recumbent ram with a raised head and includes a suspension loop for attachment. The third amulet showcases a standing ram with a raised head.
