A chest, Renaissance, cedar (or juniper), front and sides with grooved decoration filled with black mass (gall nut) "Imaginbary animals and plant motifs between classicist arches", Portuguese - Azores, 16th/17th C., missing socle, small restoration, minor faults and defects, missing original lock replaced by two missing locks, missing pidgeonhole, missing original hinges replaced by later hinges. Notes: vd. "Do Mar e da Terra... Uma História no Atlântico". Angra do Heroísmo: Angra do Heroísmo Museum, 2011, p. 54; and "Mobiliário Português - Roteiro - Museu Nacional de Arte Antiga".
