Timms of Banbury in 1973', with knee space centering and each side with four further graduated drawers with mahogany lining, dust beading and brass swan-neck handles; the front left-hand side carved with the Cowman signature-motif and the back panel inscribed to the upper and lower friezes with the John Ruskin quotation, 'When we build, let us think that we build forever'; the three-panel back well-tooled and carved, the left-hand section depicting cows before a cow shed, the middle section a brick-layer with brick and trowel in hand and the right-hand side similarly carved with flowerheads and tendrils before a tree to the right and a stone bridge; the whole piece raised on stile feet.
