An Edwardian silver teapot. Charles Stuart Harris, London, 1902. Of rectangular form, the part-lobed body raised on four paw feet and designed with shell and gadrooned border, the hinged cover with carved wooden finial, wooden handle detached, 12.5cm high, approx. weight 16.7ozt  Condition Report: Some general scratching, nicking and pitting commensurate with age. Scratched inventory numbers to base. A little wobbly on feet. Please note that the handle is fully detached from the teapot (but included). No pins included. Spout misshapen at tip. Some old solder noted to interior in area of foot. Hallmarks generally clear but maker’s marks partially rubbed. Hinge in good condition. No dings noted to body. A decorative five piece silver tea set. Adie Brothers,Birmingham, 1952. The set comprising: a teapot, coffee pot, hot water pot, sugar bowl and milk jug, all of rounded, fluted form, with engraved shell and scale decoration to shoulders, the pots with wooden handles and rounded finials to hinged covers, teapot 16cm high, coffee pot 20.2cm high (inc. handles), total weight approx. 95.8ozt (5) Condition Report: The tea set is in good condition. Some minor scratching and nicking commensurate with age. A few deeper nicks in places (eg. to rim of sugar cover and some high points on fluted bodies). Some solder noted around coffee pot spout (may date from time of manufacture). A ding to the foot of the coffee pot and the hot water pot (more significant to the latter pot). Hinges to covers in good condition. The teapot with presentation inscription to underside dedicated to Sir Roy Welensky. A few dark marks/some discolouration to wooden finials and handles in places.
