Patricia Ann Russell', commemorating their marriage, the exterior painted with leaves, painted and impressed potter's marks to base, 27.3cm diameter.   * Dr Ronald MacKenzie was a GP at Bampton Surgery, Oxon and a renowned galanthophile, specialising in Snowdrop propagation through scaling and chipping and founding and running 'The Snowdrop Company' from his home in Shilton, Oxfordshire in 1991, which he ran until his retirement in 2014.  **(Subject to ARR) * Condition: In good condition, with no faults.

Howard’s mother was a ‘Ward Knowles’ and came from a family of well-known printers in Accrington.After studying at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art, Howard worked his whole life in the Arts and Theatreworld where his skills in lighting, sound production and management were used to create many successful shows.Over the years Howard became an enthusiastic collector of 20th-century art and ceramics with a particular passion forthe 1930s. His special interest was architecture and he acquired an extensive library of books, pamphlets and pictureson the subject. A fan of classical and jazz music, he also amassed a significant collection of his favourite pieces, whichhe played continuously in his small cottage.Together with much of Howard’s artwork, and in his books, could be found many newspaper cuttings, printed obituariesand footnotes cross-referencing the artists and authors of the works, reflecting the extensive research he carried out.Howard’s extensive collection, some of which is on sale today, demonstrates the eclectic taste he had for interesting andexquisite items.
