(11) Slop bowl: surface scratches to exterior, interior decoration and gilding in good order, no chips, cracks or restoration.Peach serving dish: hairline crack running half the circumference (see image).Cobalt plate with flowers and heavily gilded decoration: overall condition good, surface scratches, the gilding slightly rubbed, a couple of 1mm nibbles to the underside rim.Muffin dish and cover: in good order with no chips or restoration. The cover has a shallow split to the rim approx 1cm which would have been created in the making (see image).Hexagonal plate: overall condition good, some rubbing to the gilt on corners.Sucrier: a few firing imperfections as splits at the rim and one thumbnail size internally (see image).Blue serving dish, scalloped birds plate, and all other plates not mentioned above: in good condition with no chips, cracks or restoration, possibly some very light scratches.
Early 19th Century Spode Felspar Porcelain part coffee set comprising 4 cups and 4 saucers, and 2 bread and butter plates, Dia.21.2cm, each with painted butterfly and rose decoration, and moulded floral, foliate, and ribbon motifs, within a gilt rim, pattern number 3501, painted red marks and one plate with rare puce mark, c.1820; pair of shaped oval dessert dishes, each with moulded and painted floral sprays within a gilt rim, pattern 2105, W.28.5cm, and a dish cover with a butterfly finial, pattern 3414, Dia.19cm, (plate with puce mark has glazed over foot rim chip). (Notes: The puce "Spode Felspar Porcelain" mark with both London and Stoke addresses and the date "1821" is given as listing 3658 in Godden's Encyclopedia of British Pottery and Porcelain Marks, which classes it as very rare. Godden states that an example of this "1821" mark exists in the Copeland Works Museum, and a jug bearing this mark was previously part of the Godden Reference Collection).Condition: Small glaze spread to base of 1 cup, 4mm; 3cm stress fracture to base of rim of 1 oval dish; saucerdish with manufacturing defect to base rim, 5mm across.
