Some general surface scratching and nicking. Fork tines and spoon bowls in good condition. Hallmarks generally clear. Probable erasures to most terminals. The Georgian spoons are more heavily worn, with several of the bowls misshapen and worn towards tips. Some bruising visible to bowls and some sharpness to edges in places. The flatware is in very good condition. Gilding in good condition. No damage noted to spoons or forks. Decoration in good condition. Three of the knife blades are marked with an earlier date (1856) but all handles are marked 1858. All pieces marked London, 1858, Chawner & Co.. Knives generally in good condition. Some nicking and bruising to some blades and some a little bent. A little bruising to a few of the handle terminals. Box in good condition. Overall a lovely set.
