A George V silver biscuit box and cover, in the form of a paint tin, by Charles Edwards, London 1921, 9cm high, and a silver shallow bowl with spot hammered decoration, Birmingham 1934, 14cm wide, 14.5oz overall. (2)The tin has several long and shallow dents, and some smaller dings and knocks. Both the upper and lower rims are a bit mis-shapen, though the lid does close tightly.

An Elizabeth I silver seal top spoon, maker's mark of a mullet within a crescent, date letter partly worn but possibly 1564, 17.2cm long, and another similar, maker indistinct, London 1594, 16.7cm long. (2)One seems possibly reduced in length to the stem, with possible repair visible where handle joins the bowl. The other has had the bowl repaired/re-tipped - see additional images. The overall weight is 3.5oz

A silver salver, with shaped border on scroll feet, engraved W.A.S.(B) crest, and presentation inscription to the underside 'Ninian Taylor, with love from the W.A.S.(B)'s 1942-1946', by Deakin & Francis, Birmingham 1944, 35.5cm wide, together with a silver milk jug and sugar bowl engraved with the same crest, 46.5oz overall. (3)The Women's Auxiliary Service (Burma) (WAS(B) (also known as the Chinthe Women due to the mythological creature that formed their badge) was formed on 16 January 1942 and disbanded in 1946. They were a 250 strong group of British and Australian women who operated mobile canteens for the troops of Burma Command in World War II. They were founded and led by Mrs Ninian Taylor, who was granted the rank of Major, and who received an OBE for her services.
