A modern Murano glass table service by Vetreria Rossetto Estevan of Murano, the suite with gilded knops and flared footrims, comprising - eight 7ins red wine glasses with bell shaped bowls, eight 6.5ins white wine glasses with conforming bowls, eight 6.75ins liqueur glasses, water jug, 10ins high, decanter 12ins high, and stopper for same (with documentation dated 26th April 2002)
A pair of Dutch wine glasses, late 18th Century, each bell shaped bowl engraved with a sunflower and a moth above the central and shoulder knopped stems containing alternate red and opaque spiral threads outside gauze on conical feet, height approx 16cm, together with a similar double series opaque twist stem drinking glass (some faults).

As vaults under the property are mentioned it is logical to assume that Adams needed the premises for his flourishing wine business. Although the exact location of this property is not mentioned in the documents it is possible (subject to German rearrangement of London in the 1940s) that the property still stands

A late19th century bronze figure signed Jan Gout, of a Bacchic cherub opening a wine barrel, hammer now lacking, signed in the base, on moulded red marble plinth, 29cm high; together with a similar bronze study of a cherub holding a brush and palette, on naturalistic oval base, 21cm high; and another bronze group of a boy holding a puppy as a terrier pulls at his chemise, on a naturalistic oval plinth base, 22cm high (3)
An attractive Chinese porcelain wine pot cover and stand, the globular pot with loop handle and short spout, decorated in black, blue and red enamels with gilt details depicting exotic goldfish and waves beneath a band of runes, either side with a crane amid clouds, the hexagonal fluted stand decorated en suite. 12 cm high. Eighteenth century (cracked). (3) * The subject of the decoration is particularly auspicious.The swimming fish may be described as ‘goldfish’, in Chinese jin Yu, which provides a homophone for ‘an abundance of gold’. This the presentation of a wine pot such as this implies wishes for great fortune.
