A large Chinese blue and white ginger jar and turned cover, Qing Dynasty, late 18th century painted with the three friends of winter in a rock garden, 23 cm overall diameter x 25 cm overall height, together with another smaller 19th-century ginger jar with reserves of precious and scholarly items on a ground of cracked ice and prunus, fitted a turned wood and Shou pierced cover, 16 cm overall diameter x 18 cm overall height. The small jar shows some internal star cracks, in some cases they show faintly on the exterior surface in some cases.The large jar shows the same kind of star crack to the interior but they do not seem to transmit through the body of the jar, old historic chip to the inner face of the foot rim
