A fine West Indian satinwood sycamore banded, marquetry inlaid and ormolu mounted centre table, circa 1860, in the manner of Lamb of Manchester, the circular top with ormolu leaf cast edge above a shallow frieze mounted with florette bosses and leaf and berry edging, on four columnar supports with flute inlay united by a quadriform shaped platform with ormolu patera terminals, on four down scrolled legs with leaf capped toes (minor losses and slight split to one edge), 98.5cms diameter.
AN EARLY 19TH CENTURY WELSH OAK SECRETAIRE PRESS, in two stages, the upper part with moulded cornice and ogee arcade and flute moulded frieze, above a pair of rectangular panelled doors enclosing a shelf, the lower part with three long drawers, the upper forming a secretaire fitted with small drawers, pigeon holes and central blind fret moulded door, now with brass handles, and on square tapered feet.
