This is a vintage ceramic decanter crafted in the shape of an eagle, produced by Beswick for Peter Thomson (Perth) Ltd. It originally contained Glen Eagles Scotch Whisky and is marked on the base with detailed inscriptions, including the model year 1969 and the name of the modeler, G. Tongue. The brown glaze highlights the intricate feather detailing and the proud stance of the eagle perched on a rock. An late 19thC to early 20thC Czech enamelled and gilded decanter and glasses set, possibly by Harrach/Harrachov, decorated all over with dragonflies and other insects amidst gilded grasses with enamel buds and flowers, the decanter with shaped handle, together with a set of six similarly decorated glasses, decanter 25cm high, glasses all vary, but approx. 7.5cm-8cm high (7)Condition: Enamel shows varying levels of wear, including a few flakes, all over, and some wear to gilding too - all as photographed. A section of the bowl of one glass has been cracked apart and reglued and also has another chip, and the foot of another one has two chips.
