A fine mid-17th Century embroidered panel, depicting David playing a harp and wearing a cloak, beneath a fruiting pomegranate tree inhabited by two birds, surrounded by various animals including a lion, elephant, camel, stag and deer, beside a river with fish, dragon and a pair of dogs chasing ducks, in the distance two further fruiting trees inhabited by a monkey and squirrel, a castle and two musicians, worked with coloured silks and threads in tent stitch, approx 34cm x 46cm, within a tortoiseshell frame with ebonized ripple section.
