Pages featuring meticulously arranged British stamps spanning the late Victorian (1837–1901), Edwardian (1901–1910), and mid-20th-century periods. The collection includes: - **Green halfpenny stamps**: Likely 19th- or early 20th-century issues, some with visible cancellations. - **1940 commemorative series**: Multicoloured stamps displaying dual profiles of Queen Victoria and King George VI, issued to mark the centenary of the Penny Black (1840–1940). Denominations include "1d," "1½d," and "2½d." - **Definitive stamps from George V (1910–1936) and George VI (1936–1952)**: Including "Penny Reds" marked "ONE PENNY," with partial postmarks such as "CHELSEA," as well as stamps overprinted with "M.E.F.," indicating use by Middle East Forces during WWII. - **Mixed denomination stamps**: Featuring royal profiles and decorative frames, sorted by colour (green, red, blue, maroon) and inscribed with "POSTAGE" or "POSTAGE REVENUE."3. Stamps with notable historical features, such as visible postmarks indicating usage across the British Empire, overprints (e.g., "OFFICIAL," "M.E.F."), and special designs denoting commemorative or dual-use fiscal and postal purposes. This curated collection, housed in a professionally maintained stockbook, documents British postage history, offering significant value for philatelists.
