OMEGA,Omega, "Automatic Chronometre, Officially Certified, Constellation", movement No. 19623921, Ref. 167005. Made in 1962. Very fine, center-seconds, self-winding, water-resistant, stainless steel and yellow gold laminated wristwatch with a gold plated Omega buckle. Case:Two-body, solid, polished, screwed down case back with embossed symbol which stands for the Observatory of Geneva, concave lapidated lugs. Dial: Two-tone, “pie-pan”, with applied yellow gold baton faceted indexes on a twelve-sided outer polished plain reserve, above the 6, the signature and an applied gold star, outer minutes/seconds divisions.Luminous yellow gold dauphine hands. MCal. 551, copper colored, 24 jewels, straight line lever escapement, monometallic balance adjusted to temperatures and 5 positions, shockabsorber, self-compensating flat balance-spring, micrometer regulator. Dial, case and movement signed. Diam. 34mm. Thickness 11 mm. Dial, case and movement in good condition NOTE: In 1952 Omega introduced the famous 'Constellation', which immediately became the flagship model regarding the line 'Luxury'; all Constellation show the symbol of an observatory and this to underline the fact that all the clocks belonging to this line are certified chronometers. The first Constellation, until the end of the '60s, are called' Pie-Pan 'and that's because the face has the same shape of a pie-pan (a typical cake tin English) overturned and all have a water-resistant case, both models with screw that those with cash to snap.
