An impressive large Chinese silk altar table cover, the centre plain tomato red satin, the borders attractively embroidered in long stitch and satin stitch with the Eight Immortals, Laozi above them with two attendants, a Manchurian crane and a ky'lin, at base a wave mountain flanked by Buddhist symbols including the yin-yang within the eight trigrams (pa kua); with outer running swastika guard.
