Since its founding in 1901, W&H Peacock Auctioneers & Valuers has been conducting weekly auctions in and around the Bedford area selling anything from a tray of bedding plants to luxury vehicles. Every week they sell around five thousand lots ranging from antiques, collectables, furniture, and other effects to plant and machinery, cars, vans, lorries, catering equipment, plus a whole range of modern domestic appliances and IT equipment. They also regularly host specialist auctions including jewellery, militaria, 20th-century design, and collectable toys.

W&H Peacock, Locke & England, and Southams employ more than fifty staff at their three auction centres in Bedford, St Neots, and Leamington Spa, offering over 575 years of combined auction experience for their clients. Their Eastcotts Park salerooms are some of the largest in the UK, hosting numerous live and timed auctions every year.
