Hutchinson Scott Auctioneers was founded in 1976 by M Philip H Scott who hosted regular fine art and general auctions out of the town hall in Northallerton. Now, the independent, family-run firm operates out of Embsay Mills specialising in fine art and antique sales plus biannual specialist sales of fine clocks, horological items, barometers & scientific instruments, and more. Their auctions are offered in person, but individuals can choose to bid by phone, commission, or online instead.

Over 40 years since being established and Philip’s son Michael and his business partner Paul Hodson have taken the business forward.
