A George III oak longcase clock, circa 1790, the broken scroll pediment above a vert eglemise foliate painted frieze and glazed square trunk door flanked by turned pilasters enclosing a 13" brass dial with Roman numerals, moon phase aperture and date aperture and marked Standring, Bolton, foliate cast spandrels, 8 day movement striking on a bell, over a shaped top, full length trunk door, flanked by, quarter pilasters, above an ogive moulding and plain base board with canted sides and raised on bracket feet, distressed, 85" high
