A Victorian black laquered and gilded Gothic display cabinet circa 1840, with crenolated frieze and turret finials above a glazed door enclosing two velvet lined shelves flanked by faceted columns over a flowerhead pierced rail above two cabinet doors applied with blind pointed Gothic arch tracery and painted with a chinoiserie pattern of birds in branches enclosing two short drawers with flush brass handles over two shelves and raised on a stepped plinth flanked by stepped square columns, the sides with blind Gothic tracery moulding, chinoiserie gilded throughout, 27" wide, 13" deep, 72" high
