A walnut and boxwood inlaid longcase clock, the case 20th century, the movement 18th century, with pierced gallery caddy top boxwood inlaid with flowers above an arched glazed door applied with half round gilded columns, enclosing a 12" arched brass dial with roman numeral chapter ring, subsidiary seconds dial and calendar dial and moon phase in the arch, crown and cherub pierced spandrels, dolphin spandrels in the arch, three train musical movement playing on a carillion of eight graduated bells and a striking bell, above a rectangular cockbeaded trunk door inlaid with shell urn and foliate motifs, over a cushion moulding, the base board inlaid with a boxwood conch shell motif and raised on a plinth and bracket feet, 93" high
