A mahogany longcase clock, early 19th century, the broken scroll swan neck pediment with reeded roundel terminals above an arched glazed door flanked by square reeded columns enclosing a 14" arched enamel dial with roman numerals, subsidiary seconds dial and date dial marked Thos Russell, Lancaster, the arch painted with field workers gathering in the corn with an abbey in the distance, eight day movement striking on a bell above an arched ribbed door flanked by reeded quarter columns over an ogive moulding and base board with reeded moulding and fan mouldings between canted angles and raised on shaped bracket feet, dial re-painted 91" high
