A George III oak and ebony strung cottage longcase clock, circa 1780, the broken scroll cornice foliate carved over an ogive moulding and square glazed door flanked by gilt brass capped pilasters enclosing an 11" brass dial with matted centre and silvered chapter ring, roman numerals, pierced cherub mask spandrels and date aperture, and marked Thos Reynolds, Oxon eight day movement striking on a bell over an ogive moulding and presentation plaque dated June 1898 and full-length foliate carved trunk door, ogive moulding, panel base and raised on a plinth 76" high
