A brass carriage alarm clock by Margaine, circa 1885, the 2" white dial with ring of roman numerals over a subsidiary alarm dial with ring of arabic numerals, the back plate stamped on the lower left corner with Margaine emblem stamped just above the number 082, the base cover stamped 17082, the case with brass swing handle over a bevelled oval inspection glass above rectangular plain bevelled glass sides on a cut-out plinth base in original leather bound hinged lid carry case with sliding front, 4.5" high.
