A silkwork sampler, by Margaret Taylor dated 5th Sept.1807 finely worked with a central verse titled 'On friendship' surmounted by a frieze of Adam, Eve and the Serpent, deer, cherubs, birds and trees, the bottom section worked with numerous motifs to include floral sprays, vases and baskets of flowers, figures, coronets, hearts and butterflies, all within a stylised floral border and gilt frame, torn in places, stained and faded, 15.75" x 14.25"
