A Full Armour In Late 16th/Early 17th Century Style The Pauldrons Partly Early 17th Century Of russet steel, comprising close-helmet with rounded two-piece skull with low comb, hinged upper-bevor pierced for vision and with peg fitting into the visor on one side, the latter pierced with a floret arrangement of breathes on both sides, lower-bevor shaped to the chin, riveted gorget plates, the lower ones front and rear with recessed turned and roped borders, breast-plate with borders en suite, back-plate, skirt comprising three-lame tassets, full arm defences each with fluted pointed counter, fingered gauntlets each over a modern leather glove, circular besagew embossed with radiating flutes, skirt of small butted rings, full articulated leg harness with round-toed sabatons, and leather belt carrying a reproduction mace (one flange missing): on a stand mounted on a flat octagonal base; together with a pair of reproduction gauntlets (some fingers detached), and a reproduction broadsword with turned swelling wooden grip (surface rust and old patination throughout)(5) For further information on this lot please visit Bonhams.com For further information about this lot please visit the lot listing

Buyers' Premium and Charges

Buyer's Premium Rates
28% on the first £40,000 of the hammer price;
27% of the hammer price of amounts in excess of £40,000 up to and including £800,000;
21% of the hammer price of amounts in excess of £800,000 up to and including £4,500,000;
and 14.5% of the hammer price of any amounts in excess of £4,500,000.
A 3rd party bidding platform fee of 4% of the Hammer Price for Buyers using the following bidding platforms will be added to the invoices of successful Buyers for auctions starting on or after 6th July 2024 – Invaluable; Live Auctioneers; The Saleroom; Lot-tissimo.
VAT at the current rate of 20% will be added to the Buyer's Premium and charges excluding Artists Resale Right.
