A Cased Pair Of Irish 40-Bore Percussion Saw-Handled Officer's Pistols By Trulock & Son, 9 Dawson Street, Dublin, Circa 1835 With rebrowned twist octagonal sighted barrels each engraved 'DUBLIN' along the top flat and rifled with eight grooves, the bottom flats each with Irish registration mark 'L-H 1746' for County Louth, recoloured breeches each engraved with foliage on the top flat, tangs each engraved with foliage and owner's crest and motto behind the back-sight, border engraved back-action locks each signed in capitals and decorated with foliage, dolphin hammers (one replaced) each decorated en suite and operating on three bents, figured full stocks (one repaired on one side beneath the barrel-bolt) each with characteristic spur and chequered rounded butt, the latter with flat ovoidal pommel and steel cap engraved with foliage centred on the retaining screw, steel trigger-guards each with small pineapple finial and decorated with foliage on the border engraved bow, and stirrup ramrods: in associated relined and refitted oak case with some accessories including brass-mounted three-way powder-flask, the body covered in black leather (incomplete around the bottom edge), the interior of the lid with facsimile maker's trade label, the exterior with circular vacant brass escutcheon 17.5 cm. barrels Footnotes: The crest and motto is that of the Needham family, Earls of Kilmorey of Mourne Park, Co. Buyers' Premium and Charges
For all Sales categories, buyer's premium excluding Cars, Motorbikes, Wine, Whisky and Coin & Medal sales, will be as follows:
Buyer's Premium Rates
28% on the first £40,000 of the hammer price;
27% of the hammer price of amounts in excess of £40,000 up to and including £800,000;
21% of the hammer price of amounts in excess of £800,000 up to and including £4,500,000;
and 14.5% of the hammer price of any amounts in excess of £4,500,000.
A 3rd party bidding platform fee of 4% of the Hammer Price for Buyers using the following bidding platforms will be added to the invoices of successful Buyers for auctions starting on or after 6th July 2024 – Invaluable; Live Auctioneers; The Saleroom; Lot-tissimo.
