A good 20th century English Congreve Rolling ball clock Signed Dent, London, No. 077., the rear of the frame marked Andrew Fell, Del. 1973, and with a further plaque for Norman Mackinnon, 1974 The three silvered subsidiary dials giving hours, minutes and seconds, each with a Breguet style moon hand, set on the front plate of the skeletonised lozenge-shaped frame mounted on tapering columns, to a plinth base with applied triangular Dent trademark, further set on a mahogany plinth and variegated green marble base on adjustable levelling feet, the substantial fusee movement with wheels of six crossings and high count pinions, driven by the action of a ball running along the ridged, pivoting platform below - each second marked as the ball runs below the rotating silvered scale marked in 15-second increments, the whole protected by a later custom made glass shade, together with a steel ball, 41cm high not including the glass shade For further information on this lot please visit Bonhams.com For further information about this lot please visit the lot listing
